Who We Are
Morganton Savings Bank S.S.B. is Burke County’s only local financial institution, serving our neighbors and friends continuously since 1903.
In 2001 we completed an adaptive historical renovation of “The Cedars”, the home of Col. Samuel McDowell Tate, of Civil War fame, and relocated our offices in this landmark building. We are located at the intersection of West Union and King Streets, and are proud to have been able to preserve this piece of history for our community.
We are local. We don’t have to consult with Charlotte, Raleigh, Atlanta, or anywhere else to make a decision. Decisions are made locally by Our President/CEO and Our Board of Directors who are local business people.
